Eraser Forum
Hello,
I'm new to this board and have been reading over the forum. I have a question.
Will a DBAN floopy work on a crashed hard drive?
The reason I'm asking this is.....Several months ago I had a hard drive crash on me and it was exchanged with the manufacturer. Since it had crashed I knew of no way to be able to erase what was on it. It made me nervous to return the defective drive to the manufacturer as I did have some personal info on it but assumed I had no choice.
It would be nice to know that if my current hard drive crashed I'd be able to erase everything on it before exchanging or trashing it.
