Using Eraser 5.6 with Win 98 SE--
When trying to wipe the free space on both the C and D drives, Eraser crashed. Probably my own fault--I forgot to close the AV and other background programs first. Now neither Windows nor DOS will recognize the D drive any more. The C drive seems to work OK.
I've read the posts about deleting the ERAFSWD.tmp file, but unfortunately, my Eraser was installed on the D drive & I can't get to it to try that.
I've tried Scanreg/restore and also tried to roll the registry back with SystemSuite, but no luck.
BTW, Eraser worked just fine on my other computer (XP).
Anybody have any ideas?
