I read in the manual that running other programs is not advised while erasing unused disk space. Why is this? Is it just that it can slow down the erasing process, or is there another reason? The reason I'm asking is because I used the internet and even downloaded and deleted a few documents during the erase and I'd like to know if that severely screwed anything up.
