"Out of Disk Space" error during installation

When I try to install Eraser, I get a message saying

Out of Disk Space
Disk space required for the installation exceeds available disk space.

The highlighted volumes do not have enough disk space available for the currently selected features. You can remove some files from the highlighted volumes, install fewer features, or select a differed destination drive.

The volume that is highlighted is my CD-ROM drive. How do I get past this error in order to install the software?

When you install Eraser, where did you pick it to be installed to? You need to select a non-CD drive.
