PRNG Passes

Can someone tell me is 1 pass the maximum number for the PRNG option? The dod seems to be 7 passes but the PRNG is only pass and a scecified number of rounds? Is this correct?

Also it seems that 8 rounds with the PRNG takes about a fifth of the time that the dod wipe takes. Does this make it less secure?

You can get the desired behavior with the PRNG method by increasing the number of rounds.

Running a PRNG wipe of two rounds with eight passes is equivalent to running it with one round and sixteen passes, or three rounds of six passes, and so forth.

No.
 
1 Pass seems to b the maximum number of passes I can get for PRNG. When i select it the default is 1 pass and I dont seem able to change that to a higher number of passes.
