If your OST file gets corrupted, Outlook might freeze or show error messages. Here are a few quick steps to fix corrupted OST file manually -
Manual fixes help with small problems, but they may not fix a badly damaged OST. In that case, you can use the BLR OST to PST Converter Tool, which recovers all mailbox data (emails, attachments, contacts, calendars, etc.) and exports it safely into a PST file for Outlook.
- Run Outlook in Safe Mode – Start Outlook with the /safe command to skip add-ins that may be causing issues.
- Create a New Profile – A fresh Outlook profile with a new OST file often fixes corruption.
- Clear Offline Items – Right-click a folder → Properties → Clear Offline Items, then let Outlook re-sync with the server.
