Thread failes to run - error

I am trying to setup eraser and a task to erase a database on a server I am taking out of service. To learn how I setup the program on a server with the same equipment and OS.

I have deleted most everything except the OS - Windows Server.
I made a task to erase the free space.

When I try to start the task it crashed with the popup and following error.

(I ran Eraser as Administrator)

This might be an issue with .NET runtimes - try running windows update.

Did the eraser process start and crash or just not start up at all?
 
Eraser launches and runs.
I add a task to erase unused space.

I am sorry for the lengthy lack of response. Unfortunately customers set my priorities and my backup server took backseat.

Can I restart this thread?

If so, I just downloaded the latest version; 6.2.0.2970.
Installed, without a problem. Its an HP DL380 with two SCSI raids and 36GB DRAM.
The OS is:
Microsoft® Windows Server® 2008 Enterprise
Version 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002
FixPacks are up to date.

I created a new task to erase unused area on the D: drive, checked erase cluster tips, ran immediately.
The drive is NTFS, capacity 2.72TB, free 1.51TB. It is an HP Raid5.
