Recently I downloaded and installed Eraser to empty a secondary hard disk before turning in a broken laptop for repairs. I started the software, created the task to empty the secondary hard disk, paying special attention to the name of the hard disk and its size targeted.
Sadly, instead of targeting the intended disk it went for my internal NVMe SSD... My system disk... With some serious amount of luck I was able to recover the partition table and run a manual repair of my startup files. There are some quirks still, but at least I got all my files back it seems. Just wondering if I'm the only one where this has happened...
