What is the Limited Faktor for Wipe?

HI,

i have an 1200MHZ fast pc and want to wipe 4 or 8 disk at the same time with the gutman mode. But, at 4 disk the pc need up to 5 DAYS. The programm say that the cpu is the limited faktor. How much mhz power does it need to work with fastest speed? My fastest pc has 2200 mhz, but i cant let them work 5 days

Any ideas or do i just need to invest more time

The limiting factor is almost always disk speed or PCI bus capacity. The speed of the CPU is mostly irrelevant, and the Gutmann wipe is not the best method.
