Win 7 - 256GB SSD

New Member
I have a Dell tablet running Win 7 64-bit with a 256GB SSD. I have searched for "solid state", SSD, etc. in the forums and can't find a definitive answer as to whether or not I can/should run Eraser to wipe my free space.

Note that I am not asking about longevity of the disk, performance, etc. I simply need to know if I can wipe the free space with Eraser safely.

I think you're looking for It's for USB keys, but those were the predecessors of SSDs anyway, so most of the information is relevant.

Most cases, using your disk's TRIM command should render data irrecoverable -- but don't just take my word for it, I don't write papers :p
