Am a little worried

:shock: Have a Compaq 64bit p4 with a WD160G drive. This is a very new computer with all the bells and whistles. Be running a quick pass for the last 12 hours. Started at 11:00 pm EST and is now 2:00 pm EST. When I logged on at 7:30 am this morning, Runtime stated 4:33:58 at 9.32%. Getting an average of 1100 to 4500 kb/s is this ok as well, can I calculate how long it will take before it completes? It has an AMD processor as well.

try the latest DBAN beta release...the version you are using does not agree with your system, unless your hdd has 'broken' sectors which , in my experience is not uncommon on WD drives...

u should be getting about 20-30MB/sec (20,000 - 30,000 KB/sec) when DBAN is honkin' along smoothly
