Can overwriting recycle bin damage hard drive?

Can repeatedly overwriting the recycle bin damage the hard drive and/or decrease the life span of hard drive?

I've read that repeatedly overwriting the same location can cause the entire hard drive to fail prematurely? Are files in the recycle bin always overwritten at the same location?

I believe from what I heard is that when you delete a file to the recycle bin the file stays in the same place on the disk. Correct me if I'm wrong.

This is correct, they don't physically move on the disk.
