Error: Eraser has stopped working

I have been unable to run Eraser lately. I am not sure when this started - in the last few weeks probably. I have uninstalled and reinstalled ( 6.0.10.2620 ).

I get "Eraser has stopped working" after I launch it.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

Clicking "Debug the Program" doesn't seem to do anything.

Are there any messages in the windows event log?

You mentioned that this has started a week ago, have you made any modifications so far? Like may a security software installation or anything?

Try running a system restore, this is my favorite. Set to to one week back.

Or, just delete the Eraser Task List. There's an FAQ entry for that.

Resolved this issue through a non-destructive reinstall of windows 7
