Failed to erase unused space on *.dll (Protected File)

I got this message (and another hundred or so like it) from last nights log.
6/17/2008 8:20:48 AM: Failed to erase unused space on C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.42_x-ww_3415f6d0\mfc80FRA.dll (Protected File).

If this space is unused, why is it protected? In fact, how is it that there is a file in 'unused' space at all?

I'm a tad perplexed at the moment.

Also ... any chance of some flexibility in setting the scheduled times? I seem to be stuck with a midnight start. I am usually still working at midnight. I'd like to schedule for 3:30 or 4:00 a.m. so that the free space wipe would happen while I am actually in bed.

Good program ... maybe I am doing something wrong?

It is user definable, click mouse to left of first 0 and then just type in the time (24hr) you want.
