finished with non-fatal errors

I ran the nuke boot disk on an old machine with Windows ME. It stopped with the message "DBAN finished with non-fatal errors. Check the log for more information." The run time was 20 seconds. I can no longer reboot the machine or even install windows. How do I check the log? Did I do anything but clobber the O/S?

don't answer just yet

I unplugged the machine, replugged it and started it. I am back in business but can't figure out what I did or didn't do.

The log is written to A:\DBANLOG if a floppy disk was in the drive when DBAN finished.

20 seconds of runtime is enough to thoroughly pooch the filesystem, but not enough to make most of your data inaccessible.

Most DBAN errors are caused by bad hardware.
