When you erase files on your harddrive, the file names may linger in the NTUSER.DAT indefinately until they happen to be overwritten by some other file. To remove these filenames completely, I found a nifty utility for doing just that called RegDatXP. The author was very helpful with my questions and it worked like a charm. It can be found on many shareware sites.
