How to download and use?

Hello,

I don't know much about computers and I would like to know if I can download Eraser to a computer connected to the internet, copy it to a CD, and then install it on an old HP running ME, without running the risk of erasing files on the computer used for downloading? I saw instructions for copying to a floppy and using it on a computer not connected to the internet, but can you use a CD?

You sure can ...just download the exe file and burn it onto a cd....take it to the other computer and put it in and click on Eraser.exe...it will then install on that computer.

So you're clear it will not install on the computer that downloads it unless you open the .exe file
