problem erasin unused disk space

when i create a task to erase unused disk space, eraser goes into what appears to be and infinite search loop...it never gets to the erasing part.

i've been using the product for several months, and this just started yesterday. i haven't installed any new s/w or changed my configuration since the last time it ran successfully.

as a result, i uninstalled eraser, rebooted, d/l-ed and reinstalled, rebooted. the problem remains.


any suggestions?
