problems after using nuke disk

I was using the nuke disk to erase my hard drive on my sons computer so I could start fresh and upgrade to windows xp and he accidentally cut the power before it finished. Now all I get when I start the computer is a blank black screen. I tried it on a different monitor so I know that isn't the problem. Any advice would be appreciated. I hope the computer isn't totally ruined.

You must install an operating system after you use DBAN, even if the wipe was interrupted by loss of power.

Try running DBAN again. If it starts, then your computer isn't hosed.

The wipe appears to be taking really long. Is there a way to safefly abort while wiping? Please let me know, thanks. :)
