purging already deleted files

Hello all, I have a problem on ntfs disk where I have a large number of already deleted files that I need to "purge" and I read some discussions on other forums which lead me to believe that eraser can do this. However I cant work out how to do it - I couldn't find a way to point eraser at an already deleted file (unless it appears in resycle bin, which mine don't) .

I need the delete to be a complete purge of any remnants of the file such that (for example) they don't get listed as "items" in FTK. I also need to do this in a way which doesn't move around data on the disk other than that which is directly associated with the deleted file, so for example a general free space clean up cannot be used'.

You can use eraser to run a freespace erase, just empty the recycle bin first.
