run eraser on old system with no internet access

hi,

i am trying to erase an old windows system which isn't connected to the internet. i have downloaded eraser onto a USB stick and have taken it to the PC to wipe. it fails because it can't download the .net microsoft setup component required by eraser.

is there a way that i can run eraser without needing the updated version of the .net program or operate it on a computer that has no web access?

You can get the offline .NET installer (50+MB, from Microsoft) and install it first; following which the Eraser installer will not re-install .NET on that computer.
