Runtime Error in install: Can't read Image Data List Bit Map

I am trying to use Eraser 584X 32 on a Windows 95 computer. The install program comes up, but I get the error message: Runtime error in install: Image List Bitmap failed to read Image List data from stream.
I also downloaded Eraser 57. The message said "This program requires Windows version 4.0.1111 or later.
The computer does not have internet access, so I have copied the files to a CD and am trying to install from that. I'm not too computer savy, just want to erase the stuff on my hard drive before I get rid of the computer. Thanks!

If you want to totally wipe the hard drive then DBAN may be better for you as it is OS independent.

Otherwise I suggest looking through some really old versions of Eraser here and see if one of those works.
