"The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."

I started erasing my 160 GB hard drive Thursday at noon. On Friday at 3am I got the following error message:
"The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."

Did my erase session complete? Do I need to re-run it?

Something has gone wrong.Format the drive and try erasing again there may be bad sectors present.

I formatted and re-ran Eraser - it completed with only one error:

"Files in F:\System Volume Information did not have its cluster tips erased because of the following error: Access to the path 'F:\System Volume Information' is denied."

But from what I've read on other forums this is normal.

Thank you!
