Thanks! It makes sense that it should, but thought I'd check first. It will make my life much easier since one machine has some problem where it can't finish booting the OS. I'm donating it so I don't care about that anyway, just want to wipe the hard drive.

If I create a DBAN CD on my Vista computer, can I use it on my older Win2000 and Win98 computers?
Assuming I can get them to boot from CD, that is.

Thanks! I realized it's OK to donate the computers with wiped drives. :-)
Now I'm trying to figure out DBAN, since the quickstart guide is missing ("oh noes!") and so is the readme file referenced in other threads on this forum.
