Access in PIO Mode instead of UDMA 100?

Hello everybody,

I'm using a Mainboard with the brand-new NVIDIA NForce 2 chipset, and got the following problem: Although the harddisk is detected as UATA100 compatible by the BIOS, DBAN has an average data rate of around 3 MB/s. This is about the data rate of PIO Mode. What can I do to increase the speed and force DBAN to us UDMA?

The current DBAN release may not recognize recent nForce variants.

There is no safe way to force DMA. You should wait for the next DBAN release or use another product.
