Best erasure methods for large files

Hello,
I have an issue with erasing large files, it take more than 9 hours to delete 115GB with the standard method (35 passes). I am wondering what could be the best method in that case with enough security?

a one pass erase is sufficient with modern hard drives, if it is a SSD then you also need to do a 1 pass freespace erase after.
