For example, I am merging one mailbox that has three PSTs exported from Microsoft. I need to keep certain folders but not others. Does your tool allow me to exclude the folders I do not want?

Yes, the Cigati PST Merge Tool does allow you to merge multiple PST files and gives you control over which folders are included in the merged output.

Here’s how it works:
  • You can add multiple PST files to the tool at once.
  • Once the files are loaded, the software displays all the mail folders inside each PST.
  • You can then select only the folders you want to keep (for example, Inbox, Sent Items, Contacts, etc.).
  • Folders you do not want—such as deleted items or junk—can be deselected or excluded before merging.
  • The tool then merges the selected content into a new consolidated PST file, skipping any folders you chose to exclude.
So yes, the tool supports merging multiple PSTs with selective folder inclusion/exclusion, giving you the flexibility you need.

you can easily combine multiple PST files and join only specific folders by using the GainTools Merge PST Software. This professional software lets you upload several PST files at once and lets you choose which folders to merge, including Inbox, Sent Items, Drafts, or any other custom folder. It makes sure that all of the mailbox data, including as emails, attachments, contacts, calendars, and other objects, are combined correctly without loss of data. The software keeps the original folder structure and data safe the whole time. It works well with all versions of Microsoft Outlook and has a basic interface that makes it easy for both tech-savvy and non-tech-savvy people to use. You can also try out the features for free before you buy by downloading a demo version.
