Using DBAN 1.0.3 on a 6 GB hard disk, the programme ran fine initially using the short DoD method. When it was about 50% done, the PC freezed and the screen was filled with CPU registers dump after showing the following message:

Unable to handle NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000338

After the dump of CPU registers, the following message was displayed:

<0>Kernel panic: Aice, killing interrupt handler!
In interrupt handler-not syncing

The same PC was known to be functioning well.

Any help please? Thank you.

(Tried both floppy disk and CD versions of DBAN)
