dban erase options

Sorry for the newb questions, but...

I ran dban from floppy and it showed error message unless I ran it in the auto mode. When I selected different wipe method and passes and hit f10 it would show error. How do I get past this.

Also, I wasn't able to run dban from cd, how can I do that since my laptop doesn't have floppy drive.
