Win ME.

Its seems to ask 4 the recovery Boot cd??

any ideas?

Run the BIOS setup program -- usually by pushing <DEL> or <ESC> or <F1> after you power-on the computer -- and change the boot order so that the CD-ROM drive is checked before the floppy drive.

The Microsoft Windows Me installation media should be bootable. Don't start the installation from a floppy disk if you can do it from the CD-ROM.

... if this happens after you start the computer from the CD-ROM, then you likely have crippled restore media. Contact your vendor for proper installation media.

OK UPDATE <---------------

I have put a partition and all is fine.

Only prob when starting with NO DISKS IN it says NO OPERATING SYSTEM!

and with boot disks it trys to format drive C:
But cant find the drive and asks to RETRY, ABORT, FAIL??

HELP!!

Consider taking your computer to a professional service technician.

You must perform these actions precisely, and you must report the results precisely.

1. Remove all hard drives from the computer, except the one on which you wish to install Microsoft Windows.

2. Run DBAN with the "quick" method to clear the hard disk.

3. Change the boot order so that the CD-ROM drive is started before the floppy drive.

4. Start the computer with the Microsoft Windows installation media.

Do not take shortcuts.
Do not partition the disk manually.
Do not install the operating system from floppy disks.
