I have recently upgraded the RAM in my computer, tripling the amount of RAM I previously had.
I'm going to do a disk wipe and fresh reinstall of Windows in the next month or so and was wondering whether additional RAM would make DBAN run any faster? Or is that more down to the type of processor the computer has?
There's not a problem with the running time of DBAN, a 8 pass PRNG with verification on the last wipe only takes about 6 or so hours, but I was wondering if extra RAM may speed this up?
