Does Eraser work with Windows Home Server?

I have a folder on a mediasmart server that I would like to securely erase (had tax and financial data in it). Will eraser work with windows home server? If so would I install in on a windows machine and then run it on the server folder, or actually install in on the server?

Install it directly on the server, network share erasures don't work as well.
