I just downloaded eraser and find that it works great for erasing specific files, but when I try to erase unused portions of a drive, I get 2 errors that read: "Error: Erasing the freespace of a drive requires elevation". I also get a 3rd error that reads: "Error: Failed to erase file names from the drive F:\, don't know why exactly".
I am using a Dell inspiron 530s with Windows Vista.
Does anyone know what is being referred to by "elevation" and is there a solution?
Thanks in advance.
