emails

What client are you using?

Chances are you won't be able to do that because the database used for storing the emails is proprietary. However, old residues of the database can be erased using a Free space Erase.

I am using microsoft outlook 2003. So the emails I deleted are in "cells" and those fragments would be deleted? Thats what I want, is to erase my deleted emails. Or should i just erase my hard drives. i have two hard drives. Are they, the deleted emails, on both or the C drive where the program files are.

I use thunderBird and found the folder where they are kept can be accessed in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\yofcgvve.default\Mail\Local Folders. I just deleted the Trash MAF file but that was in earler versions like 2.0.0.5, but now it doesn't seem to work in version 2.0.0.9 . If you just delete the emails they just wind up in freespace then you can do a freespace wipe. I also have Outlook Express which I don't use (and so no individual folders) and the folders are located here C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Identities\{0780C605-9990-4C5E-AFA8-73BDDDD846DF}. Since I use Opera as my default browser I have their email client too M1 the path is C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Opera\Opera\mail but it is also not configured so no accounts exist.

erasing old emails

So if I erase free space, or have it overwritten with Heidi IE Eraser or one of the others that will eliminate the old deleted emails?
