On Demand Erase of Unused Space.

If I erase a drive say at 1 pass. Then I want to redo it with 3 passes or at a higher erase level. Can I just do it again?

I notice when I changed setting to 3 passes and redid it. The notes showed one file failed which was an eraser tmp type file. I did the deltree thing and run it again and a different eraser tmp file was list as failed. I have three partitions C,D,and E it seems to only do this on the E drive. No compression is used.

Also is there any way to tell if it really did 3 passes. I set the preferences to 3.

Yes

It cannot erase files in use.

Eraser has a test app verify.exe which you can use to see it erasing.
Otherwise get a disk editor.
