Eraser "how to" needed

I am looking to find out exactly how to use this program so I can clean the disk and sell the computer. I'm using a WIN 98, 19 GIG hard drive and have installed Eraser.

Thanks if you have a lead on instructions

The latest version of Eraser 5.7 (but also 5.6) comes with Darik's Boot & Nuke option which allows you to completely erase your hard drive (including your Operating System).

I don't think I want to delete my whole hard drive. The only way I'd want to do that is if I can't fix the problem I'm having with the computer.

A lot of people want to erase their hard drives before selling. I just assumed that's what you wanted to do.

You can erase files using Eraser by using Windows Explorer and right clicking on the file/folder and choosing Erase.

Also, I would suggest you have a read of the Help that comes with Eraser.

ERASER is everything it claims to be and more from this end. The HELP file is easier to grasp and software simpler to use after some practice. The WIPE methods so far live up to their billing in this software and no ill effects from usage been encountered on Windows98SE. :lol:
