WinXP Pro.

I have set up a task to run eraserl at start up, but the task will not run as "no user account password was entered". I am a new XP user, but the user account concerned was that set up when setting up XP and I thought that it had no password.

Can anyone help please.

In the XP Task Scheduler under Control Panel, you must enter a Username and Password under which that scheduled task should run.

Unless the task is running when you are logged in, any task created using the Windows Task Manager requires a user name and password as it needs to inherit its permissions from somewhere.

Hope this helps.
