Hard Drive Wipe

After using the DBAN method to wipe my hard drive, what will I need to return to factory settings?

As I undersatnd it, I simply need WINDOWS XP which I have. It is as simple as placing the Windows CD in the drive and loading it up? Or do I need other drivers?

I've got to do it as the computer is very slow and I've tried Norton, all the genuine spyware programs.

I'm convinced it has some sort of virus, spyware.
 
Once the drive is nuked, install Windows and any service packs, install antivirus, connect to Windows update and get any updates from there.

You probably won't need any special drivers, unless you have equipment that isn't recognized by XP.
