Heidi Eraser problem

I can't erase anymore. Everytime I try, a few minutes before Eraser is almost done erasing, a Hard Disk is Full pop up box appears which stops the Erasure. After I deal with the Hard Disk is Full pop up box another pop up box appears called Disk Space Cleanup Manager for Windows. I click ok. and disk cleanup starts. Then after that another pop up box appears that says Disk Cleanup for Dell (C:). I click o.k and then cleanup starts. That's it. However while all these pop up boxes are doing their cleanup my Heidi Erasure has timed out and the erasing for the C drive never finishes. Can somebody tell me how to stop the pop up boxes from getting in the way of the Heid Erasure. I'm using W98se on a Dell PII.

When you erase the unused disk space, Eraser fills the drive with temporary files and overwrites them. This is why Windows shows you this warning. This is explained in the FAQ: http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/faq.php#using.

which stops the Erasure
No, it does not stop Eraser. In fact, Eraser stops itself when it's done, which is shortly after the disk gets full. Just ignore the warning about a full hard disk and wait for Eraser to finish.

Don't do that. Eraser deletes all the temporary files it creates once it's done. There is no need to run the disk cleanup tool.

Eraser does not time out, it simply finished the job while you were waiting for the cleanup tool to do whatever it does.

According to this Microsoft knowledge base article, you can disable these warnings by setting a registry key: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;188074. However, simply dismissing the warning might be easier?
