i dont really get how to use this, i alrdy made the cd but hoe do i use this i just want to format my external hdd and someone reccomended this, oh yea i am using a win xp laptop
 
DBAN does not currently have drivers for external hard drives. It will not wipe media attached by USB or Firewire.

If you just want to format the external disk, then right-click it in "My Computer" and choose "Format" from the context menu. If the external disk does not appear in "My Computer, then you must install drivers for it.
