Transferring MBOX emails into an iCloud Mail account usually requires an email client because iCloud does not directly support MBOX file imports. One common method is to use Mozilla Thunderbird to open the MBOX file first.
After importing the mailbox into Thunderbird, configure your iCloud Mail account using IMAP settings. Once connected, you can drag and drop emails or folders into your iCloud mailbox, and they will sync automatically.
From my experience, this method works well for smaller mailbox migrations, but large MBOX files may take longer to transfer and organize properly.
For a more efficient migration process, the BLR MBOX Converter Tool can help move MBOX emails while preserving attachments, folder hierarchy, and email formatting.
So, while iCloud Mail doesn’t directly import MBOX files, using Thunderbird or a dedicated migration solution makes the transfer process much easier.
