How long will a Gutnamm take on a 500GB hardrive?

Hello i wanted to know how long it will take to wipe my hard drive with the gutnamm methond my hardrive is 500GB and i plan on selling so i need to clear it it has alot of importent files on it

I don't know - there are too many variables. But it will be a long time.

And it's not worth doing. For all practical purposes, quick formatting the drive and doing the standard single pass free space erase gives you the same degree of security. As Peter Gutmann himself would tell you.
