How to eliminate report?

After I use Eraser, I always get a report to show
the erase was successful. I dont need the report, but
no matter which options I deselect under the preferences/general
tab, the report still comes on the screen. I have unchecked
both items in Erasing Report, but that doesnt help.

Any ideas? I am using the version 5.6, but this akso happened
in 5.3.

Thanks
Chuck

Chuck,
I tested this ticking off all reporting options on the preferences screen and I see a progress screen but no report afterward.

Perhaps your registry is not been updated? What about other settings?

famnet,

Try opening Regedit (Start > Run > regedit > OK), then navigating to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareHeidi Computers LtdEraser5.5Eraser

You should see the following values:

ResultsErasext
ResultsForFiles
ResultsForUnusedSpace
ResultsOnlyWhenFailed

Try closing Eraser (important!), then manually setting each of the above values to 0. If the listed values dont exist, or if the above advice doesnt work, try uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling Eraser.

Note: If you are going to uninstall/reinstall Eraser, and if you have many tasks in your On-Demand or Scheduler views in Eraser, you may want to export those tasks (File > Export...) before uninstalling, and then reimporting them (File > Import...) after rebooting and reinstalling Eraser.
