To export notes from OneNote to PDF, the process varies slightly depending on the platform you are using. Here are the steps for different versions of OneNote:
#1: OneNote for Windows 10
- Open OneNote and navigate to the note you want to export.
- Click on Settings and More (three dots) in the top right corner.
- Select Print.
- In the Printer drop-down menu, choose Microsoft Print to PDF.
- Click Print.
- Name your file, select a location to save it, and click Save.
#2: OneNote Desktop Application (Windows)
- Launch OneNote and open the desired note.
- Click on File in the menu.
- Select Export from the left sidebar.
- Under Export Current, choose Page (or Section/Notebook if needed).
- In the Select Format dropdown, pick PDF.
- Click Export, rename the file if desired, choose a save location, and click Save.
#3: OneNote for Mac
- Open OneNote and select the note you want to export.
- Click on File in the menu bar.
- Choose Save as PDF.
- Rename the file if needed, select a location, and click Save.
#4: OneNote on the Web
Currently, OneNote for the web does not have a direct export feature to save as PDF. Instead, you can use your browser's print function:- Navigate to the page you want to export in your browser.
- Click on File, then select Print.
- Choose Microsoft Print to PDF as your printer option.
- Follow prompts to save your PDF file.
