Outlook users often face situations where their OST file becomes inaccessible due to corruption, system crashes, or Exchange Server issues. In such cases, converting OST to PST becomes the easiest way to restore emails in Outlook. One of the most reliable tools for this task is eSoftTools OST to PST Converter Software. This tool helps users quickly export all OST mailbox items—emails, contacts, calendars, tasks, notes, and attachments—into PST format without data loss. Its simple interface makes it suitable even for non-technical users, and it supports conversion of encrypted or orphaned OST files as well. The software provides multiple export options such as PST, EML, MSG, MBOX, HTML, and more, making it flexible for different needs. With advanced scanning and fast processing, it ensures accurate recovery of large OST files. If you are looking for a safe and efficient method to export your Outlook OST to PST, this tool is one of the best options available.

If Outlook can’t access the OST anymore, there’s no built-in Microsoft method to convert it. In that case, you can use a tool that reads the OST directly. With EdbMails OST to PST Converter, the general steps I followed were:
  • Install and open EdbMails.
  • Browse and select the OST file you want to recover.
  • Let the software load and display the mailbox folders.
  • Choose the folders or mailbox items you want to extract.
  • Export the selected data to a PST file.

This worked for me even when the original Outlook profile was no longer accessible. If the mailbox still exists on the server, another option is recreating the Outlook profile, letting it resync, and then exporting to PST normally.
