How to Import OLM File to Microsoft 365 (Office 365/Outlook 365)?

To import an OLM file to Office 365, you can follow a manual method or use an automated tool like DRS Softech OLM Converter Tool for a seamless migration.
Since Office 365 does not support direct OLM file imports, you need to first convert OLM to PST and then upload it to Office 365. The steps are:
  1. Configure your Outlook for Mac account with an IMAP-enabled email service (such as Gmail).
  2. Create a new label in the IMAP account and move emails from the OLM mailbox to this label.
  3. Sync this IMAP account with Outlook for Windows to access the emails.
  4. Export these emails to a PST file using the Outlook Import/Export feature.
  5. Use Microsoft’s Network Upload Method or Drive Shipping to import the PST file to Office 365.

Challenges of the Manual Method

  • Time-consuming and complex process requiring multiple steps.
  • Data loss risk due to syncing issues.
  • Attachments and metadata may not transfer correctly.

Using DRS Softech OLM Converter Tool

  1. Download and install the DRS Softech OLM Converter Tool.
  2. Launch the tool and click Add OLM File to upload the file.
  3. Select Office 365 as the target format.
  4. Enter your Office 365 credentials and apply filter options if needed.
  5. Click Convert to start the migration.

This tool ensures a quick, secure, and hassle-free transfer while preserving email integrity.
