Lotus Notes archive files (.NSF) can’t be opened directly in Outlook. To read them, you’ll need to convert the NSF archive into a PST file.
The simplest way is through eSoftTools NSF to PST Converter. It allows you to load archived NSF files and then export them into a new PST. The converted PST can be opened in any Outlook version (2003–2019/2021).
What’s useful here is that you can selectively export only the folders you need from the archive (Inbox, Sent, Custom folders, etc.), avoiding unnecessary data transfer. This makes it easier to quickly access your old Lotus Notes archive in Outlook.
