How to Save Protected Excel Sheet as Unprotected without Damaging File?

I recently had Excel workbook that was locked, and I needed to remove the protection so I could edit and save it normally. After trying a few manual tricks that either failed or corrupted the formatting, I used the BitRecover Office Password Remover tool, and it made the process really simple.

Here’s how I did it:
  • Downloaded and installed the tool on my PC.
  • Opened the software and added the protected Excel file.
  • Choose the option to remove workbook/sheet protection.
  • Clicked the “Remove Password” button.
  • Within a few moments, the software created an unprotected version of the Excel file.
What I liked most was that it kept all my original formatting, formulas, and data exactly the same. No complicated steps or coding required. It also supports different Excel file types, which was helpful since I had both XLS and XLSX files.
