hi darik...can you tell us more of this build...is it your product but just with 6 swipes instead of 35...how recent a build is it...will it give me a boot up prompt to select between multiple drives for erasing...thanks.

Yes, I built it.

It is an obsolete build. It will be removed from the FAQ when I next update the documentation.

You should instead use the dban-1.0.1 release and run eight rounds of the PRNG stream wipe.

No, only version 1 will let you choose the devices to wipe.

thank you, thank you for the quick response...i didn't get a chance to try your updated ver. 1.01 yet but i'm glad i have the option to select number of wipes...from what i read so far everywhere, your products are aces...i will clean up my drive which is 40gbs large and report afterwards...all the best...bob from new york city.
