NEED HELP WITH USING ERASER AND KEEPING XP

Hi,

I am thinking of selling my Sony Vaio Laptop and want to delete all my personal data from it but still want it to work and have windows XP on it for the person that buys it. When I use Eraser will it completely delete everything on my hard drive (it is split into a C and D drive and there is a hidden partition that contains the recovery tools)? In my recovery guide it says that I can make my own recovery media kit on a DVD, if I do this and use Eraser will I be able to then load the recovery discs and will they have windows xp on. Is there a way I can just tell Eraser to delete everything apart from the hidden recovery partition?

Sorry if the above doesn't make much sense but i'm not very good on computers and don't really know anything about them.

This is a very similar question to the one in this thread, and my advice is the same for you.
